Reverend Bob Oshita Appointed Chaplain of the CA State Assembly

The CA State Assembly today welcomed one of its newest officers and Chaplain, Reverend Bob Oshita - retired Reverend of the Sacramento Buddhist Church. He is a Sacramento fixture and was a resident for 32 years at the 117-year-old temple founded by Japanese immigrants.

The U.S. Department of Labor has filed a lawsuit accusing Palantir Technologies, a Silicon Valley software company of systematically discriminating against Asian job applicants in its hiring practices. The company produces data analytics software used by U.S. military, intelligence and law enforcement agencies, along with banks, insurance companies and other non-government clients.
