The AAPILC further celebrates on diversifying within the Caucus with three new female members Assemblymember Stephanie Nguyen, Assemblymember Jasmeet Bains, and Senator Aisha Wahab.

2022 Annual Progress Report

2022 was a formative year. The AAPILC focused on strengthening the caucus’s core missions: increasing representation, collaborating with AAPI partners, and uplifting the AAPI community. This year we welcomed three new AAPI women into the caucus; collaborated with the AAPI community to implement the equity budget; and championed bills that made AAPI culture more visible to the masses. Further, the AAPILC continued to advocate for the needs of our AAPI community by standing against the rise of Anti-Asian hate and other hate-driven events throughout the year.

AAPILC February Spotlight

SACRAMENTO, CA – Today, the Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) Legislative Caucus announced its 2022 policy priorities, which include confronting the disturbing increase in anti-Asian hate crimes and discrimination, as well as addressing systemic inequities that have worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic.

2021 Annual Progress Report

This was a year of transformations. The AAPI Legislative Caucus turned twenty years old, challenges turned into opportunities, and traditions that celebrate our many cultures continued to grow.

To celebrate our 20th Anniversary, the Caucus created a new name and logo. We know a name and logo are diminished without action, so we dedicated more time than ever to advocating for the needs and interests of our AAPI Community.
