2022 was a formative year. The AAPILC focused on strengthening the caucus’s core missions: increasing representation, collaborating with AAPI partners, and uplifting the AAPI community. This year we welcomed three new AAPI women into the caucus; collaborated with the AAPI community to implement the equity budget; and championed bills that made AAPI culture more visible to the masses. Further, the AAPILC continued to advocate for the needs of our AAPI community by standing against the rise of Anti-Asian hate and other hate-driven events throughout the year. These achievements and more are highlighted in this progress report, and illustrate our dedication to equity and unity creating a brighter future for our community.
